~ 7 Things ~
The last few weeks have been busy and crazy (to say the least) but I wanted to start sharing "7 Things" that have happened, or have been on my mind, or that I just feel like sharing. So here are my first ever "7 Things"...
1. I've been wanting a simple coffee table for awhile now and was at Walmart the other day picking up "Coco". I spotted this simple and modern-looking brown coffee table for $18! SCORE! I bought it, packed it in the car, drove it home, and assembled it all by myself. It's the perfect size and satisfies my coffee table cravings for the time being.
2. The other night we went to my alma-matter, Provo High to watch the bulldog's play their last basketball game in the gym. They are tearing down the school and rebuilding in east Provo. I graduated from Provo High, as did my dad, and both of my grandmas so it's crazy to see it go. Robby and I walked a few of the halls before the game and I told him stories about my high school days and reminisced a little. Gotta love good ol' PHS.
3. I've been obsessed with vanilla steamers from Starbucks lately. Which are hot chocolate just without the chocolate... it's steamed milk with a little shot of vanilla syrup. I get so sick of drinking hot chocolate that I like this vanilla flavor for a change. So much so that I now own a bottle of Starbucks' vanilla syrup and I make my own vanilla steamers right in my kitchen. :) Needless to say I drink a lot of milk.
4. Robby started a golf class today and I don't think he's ever been more excited about a class. All I can say is every Monday and Wednesday night I know our dinner conversations will consist of analyzing Robby's swings and putts.
5. A few weeks ago I attended a workshop called WE RISE with a few of my empowering girl friends. It was such an uplifting and enlightening day of speakers and yoga. Speakers shared thoughts about depression, anxiety, comparison, and just life. It was inspiring to listen to the stories and examples that were shared. I can't wait for the next workshop! If you'd like to join me, leave a comment, text me, or send me a message here!
6. "Michelle Made It" has been renamed "OLELO color" for a variety of reasons, one of which is that because the tassel earrings I make are such a color statement to those that wear them, I want the name to reflect that. Olelo is a Hawaiian word meaning 'statement'. Along with rebranding I created a new and improved website that I hope is loads more user friendly. You can check it out here.
7. Robby's on a sports kick; he's been getting up at "the crack of dawn" to work out with our neighbor buddy, he's on an intramural basketball team with the elders quorum in our ward, and an intramural football team with his high school buddies.. and as mentioned above, is now attending a golf class at BYU. Sports, sports, sports. Good thing I'm a sports girl. :)
