Hey there!

I’m Michelle (Meesh) and welcome to my blog! I document my adventures, outfits, travels, recipes, and life… according to me!

Self-Tanner

Self-Tanner

Am I the only one that feels like they can take on the world when they are tan?! I feel confident, cute, more fit, and happier when I am even somewhat tan. So what if you can’t get out in the sun all the time (which you shouldn’t) and what if you don’t go to tanning beds (which you also shouldn’t)? The soultion: self-tanner.

I’ve been doing spray tans and self-tanner for years now and I am never going back! I sometimes get spray tans done and when I do I go to Amara Day Spa in Orem or Lehi. What I usually do is use a self-tanner and do it myself. DIY! Here are a few of the self-tanning solutions I’ve tried and then some that I’ve heard good reviews about.

Jergen’s Self Tanner

This Jergen’s Self Tanning is my most used self tanner. I use this every two weeks. This brand comes is a variety of shades and solutions. I use the light bronze foam solution. I would recommend using a mit while applying this foam tanner, however if you do not have one, no worry: I just wash my hands periodically when I’m apply it to keep or just wash my palms good after I’m done.

L’Oreal Tanning Wipes

I love these L’Oreal tanning wipes for a quick and easy tan. These are a great option to travel with or take on the go because they pack so nice. This self-tanner doesn’t show up right away, it will develop and show color more a few hours later. I haven’t had any issues with the wipe staining my hands.

South Seas Tahitian Tanning Mist

This South Seas Tahitian Tanning Mist is such a good overall solution. The thing I love about a mist self-tanner is that there is no mit or glove needed to achieve an all-around even glow. The mist allows you to apply the tanning-solution evenly to all areas of your skin. If you have a lighter completion I recommend getting this solution. This is a great option to travel with because all you need is this can. It does come in a travel size as well for even more convenience.

Peta Jane Tanning Mist

This Peta Jane Tanning Mist is very similar to the South Seas Tanning Mist but it’s a bit of a lighter shade. I like to use this one on my face and neck so the tan isn’t so dark. Again, because this solution is a mist it goes on really even and is easy to use. If you already have a “dark” completion then I would recommend getting this Peta Jane solution.

Tarte Cosmetics Self Tanner

I personally have never used this Tarte Cosmetic Self-Tanning Lotion, however I’ve heard several people say they’ve used it and loved it. You can’t go wrong with Tarte. This lotion and mit kit would be a great gift idea too.

How do you stay tan? Do you use a self-tanner, if so, which one? I’m curious and always open to try a new brand! Let me know!
